Birmingham, one of my favourite Christmas places. The Christmas markets, the lights in the shopping centres, the shops perfect for buying all your loved family and friends presents, everything about Birmingham in the winter is so Christmassy. I am going to tell you all of my favourite things in the city, and how to fill up a day trip getting ready for the most wonderful time of the year.
Shopping in Birmingham.
We took a day trip to Birmingham, we got a early bus down and of course, what was the first thing we done, and spent most of the day doing? Shopping! Buying Christmas presents, Christmas decorations, jammies for the cold nights, blankets, pillows, and so much more!
There is so many shops in the city, including many shopping centres, Selfridges, and of course, the one and only, worlds biggest Primark!
This was honestly, such an amazing Primark. I don’t think I have ever been in a shop this big, it had 5 floors, -2 which had Men’s clothing and accessories, and not to forget a really unique thing that I have never saw in another Primark, a barbers! Floor -1 had a café, called ‘tasty café’ and a whole area of retro Nike, including jumpers, hats, scarfs, jackets and more!
And then up a floor to floor 0, which was women clothing, and beauty for example hair and makeup products, which also, had a full beauty salon in it where you could go to get your hair, nails, and any other beauty treatments done, just as a break whilst you shop! Up a floor… again! I know, so many floors! Floor 1, probably my favourite, had women’s clothing, accessories, shoes, underwear, PJ’s, just everything a girl loves, and since it was Christmas, there was a full ‘Grinch’ café! With Grinch waffles, hot chocolates, milkshakes, and so much more.
There was also a large area with lots of Christmas Grinch items, including teddys, jammies, slippers, and so much more to make your trip even more Christmassy! The top floor had kids, and the home section filled with Christmas décor, fluffy bed sheets, fluffy blankets, fluffy pillows, and everything to keep you and your house warm, Christmassy, and ready for the winter!
There is also a large shopping centre, basically two attached, calling ‘Bullring and Grand central’
Your best shops and your favourite brands this is what makes a Bullring & Grand Central shopping trip special! At Bullring & Grand Central which is Birmingham’s largest shopping centre! you’ll find your favourite home stores, electronics shops and fashion brands all under one iconic roof. Shop designer brands to find your dream outfit at Selfridges, or try make-up treats from The Body Shop, Morphe, KIKO or Boots. Christmas market!
When it’s getting dark, a little chilly, grab yourself a hot drink out of one of the many Starbucks, and take a wonder around the beautiful Christmas markets.
Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market is a firm fixture in the city’s annual calendar and a massive favourite with both residents and visitors to the city from across the UK and Europe. Birmingham comes alive every winter with the arrival of the Market, a clear sign that Christmas is just around the corner. The stalls on Victoria Square and along New Street offer something for everyone.
A great place to meet up with family and friends and enjoy the live music programme on Victoria Square.
