Quick Take: Yes! you absolutely can save money, Fiverr is de facto the world’s number 1 marketplace designed to offer you a vast amount of services which will ultimately save you time and more importantly money in the long run. Not everyone is an expert with photoshop so creating images to use on your websites or articles is practically impossible if you don’t have the skills.

The above image looks simple enough but I never created it, I found it online and used it in this review to show you what I cannot create, someone else made this I do not have the knowledge to create such an image but there are many talented individuals on Fiverr who can and they are eager to get to work and bring your vision to life.

What Is Fiverr Gigs?

This is just the name Fiverr gives to their jobs or services, if you wanted a new banner for your website created you would go to Fiverr and buy a gig or if you were a seller you would create a new gig that is in simple terms what a gig is, just another name for a job. No shortage of gigs is for sure they have categories and sub-categories for practically anything you can think of.

Is Fiverr legit?

The Fiverr website has been around since early 2010 and is now worth billions, like most popular online companies they started small and only charged $5 per gig (a gig is what they call jobs) but in recent years they allowed their freelancers to charge variable or premium prices, this is very much justified in my opinion as you get what you pay for as they say.

Not all freelancers are good at what they “claim” to do, this is one of the reasons it is good to pay a little more than you normally would, the work is usually consistently good and more often than not you will be a repeat customer for that freelancer, always read the review before hiring anyone for a gig just to be sure the review is mainly positive you can let 1 or 2 negative ones slide in my experience.

Do not go to Reddit for any advice on a product or service, the entire website is filled with people with ulterior motives, mainly to funnel you into using their services, so you won’t get a proper answer to any of the questions you have, although from time to time it can be a treasure trove of information, unfortunately, those posts are few and far between.

Fiverr Review – Final Thoughts

There is no doubt that Fiverr is legit, of course, you will see a negative Fiverr review here and there all over the internet, but that is mainly down to the buyer and seller of a particular service falling out or having disagreements, it does not take away from the fact a good chunk of images you see on websites these days have more than likely come from someone who has a Fiverr account and has posted their services there.

There is no shortage of freelancers to choose from, the key to finding a good freelancer is reading the reviews people have written, don’t always go by how many starts their gig has as these can be bought and manipulated (which is against their terms of service) do proper due diligence and you will find a gem who you can go to for future work in the future without having to trawl through the bad ones.
