Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C (fan 180°C) or gas 6. In a bowl, combine the soy, honey, 1 tablespoon oil, and ½ tablespoon garlic and ginger paste. If you have time, pour over the chicken thighs and let them marinade; if not, don’t worry; they will still taste great. Place the chicken, skin-side up, in a roasting tin with all of the marinade. Cook for 45 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and sticky.

Heat the remaining oil in a large frying pan over medium heat, allowing it to warm up thoroughly. Begin cooking the rice according to the instructions on the package, ensuring the rice is prepared when the chicken has approximately fifteen minutes left to cook. Once the rice is underway, take the opportunity to add the remaining ginger paste and garlic to the pan, sizzling them for about a minute to bring out their flavors.

Step 3
Afterward, toss in the broccoli florets, stirring them gently to coat in the aromatic oil, and add just a little water to help steam the broccoli, allowing it to cook through while maintaining its vibrant color and crunch. Let the mixture simmer with the lid on for about 10 minutes, allowing the broccoli to soften while absorbing the savory flavors of the garlic and ginger.

Step 4
