Reminders of him. One of my all time favourite Colleen Hoover books. By now, we have all heard of Colleen Hoover, she has many famous books including Ugly Love, Verity, It Ends with us, which is now being turned into a movie, and it starts with us. These story’s are all so unique with happy parts, sad parts, parts you with laugh at and parts you will cry at- well, this is DEFINATELY one of those kind of story’s. It is an emotional rollercoaster of a book but it is so amazing, let me tell you a little more about it.

The blurb doesn’t even give the book justice! it only shows us a glimpse of it’s greatness. The story is about a mother who is released from prison, who tries to gain back custody of her child after the passing of her partner Scotty, however there are many obstacles thrown her way, and she starts to wonder if she will ever get to meet her daughter, and if she will ever move forward with the many obstacles in her life.

Colleen Hoover is an American author who primarily writes novels in the romance and young adult fiction genres. She is best known for her 2016 romance novel It Ends with Us. Many of her works were self-published before being picked up by a publishing house. In November 2011, Hoover began writing her debut novel, Slammed, with no intention of getting published. She was inspired by a lyric, “decide what to be and go be it”, from an Avett Brothers song, “Head Full of Doubt/Road Full of Promise,” and she incorporated Avett Brothers lyrics throughout the story.
Hoover then went on to publish many other books- and one blew up on tiktok particularly well. It Ends With us is Hoovers best selling book and most popular book which was flying off the shelfs in weeks! This blew up on tiktok, leading to her gaining lots of popularity and many others of her book sales growing as people were beginning to realise her talent and how good her books are!
Since then she has became so popular, even releasing a sequel to ‘It Ends With Us’ and a movie is also currently in process about this book!
Reminders of him- overall review
Out of all my Colleen Hoover books I have read (and that is a lot) I would definitely say that this is one of my top picks and is one of my favourites! It is so hard to rate these books as they are all so brilliant however I would say that Reminders of him is definitely in my top 5!
It is heart breaking and heart warming all in one, you will be crying one page and on the next you will have a massive smile spreading across your face! I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars as there is a few unanswered questions, yet this has been done on purpose to entice you!
