Seafood pasta- ingredients!

Here is the short list of ingredients that you need in order to make this delicious pasta recipe, all of these ingredients work together to create the mouth melting burst of flavour! Some ingredients are optional, for example if you are using store bought pasta, but trust me, making your own is one of the most fun experiences and it tastes super good!

Ingredient list;
For the homemade pasta;
Italian “00” pasta flour, 500g/1 pound, 2 ounces: 500g/1 pound, 2 ounces
There are three eggs that are free-range.
Six yolks from free-range eggs: Six yolks from free-range eggs
pinch salt: pinch salt for dusting with semolina

For the seafood;
Twelve uncooked, shelled king prawns: 12 uncooked, shelled king prawns

Cooking with olive oil: cooking with olive oil
freshly ground black pepper and sea salt

For the pasta sauce;
A total of two tablespoons of olive oil:
One tiny onion, cut finely: One tiny onion, chopped finely
Curry powder, mild, two tablespoons: Curry powder, mild (2 tablespoons)
200 ml/7 fl oz 200 millilitres (7 fluid ounces) of white wine
14 fl oz (400 ml) Fish stock: 14 fl oz (400 ml) Supply of fish: 600ml/20fl oz Double cream: 20 fl oz/600 ml Double cream
Black pepper with sea salt: freshly ground black pepper and sea salt
chopped parsley as a garnish

Seafood pasta- method!

The method for this delicious pasta recipe is super quick and easy, the time varies depending on if you are making your pasta from scratch or not, so, let’s get cooking!

Step 1
To prepare the pasta, put the flour, eggs, and egg yolks in a food processor and pulse until the ingredients are well blended and form a dough. After cutting into quarters, wrap with cling film. Put in the refrigerator to rest for half an hour.

Step 2
Take the pasta out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature. As directed by the manufacturer, run the pasta through a pasta machine set to its widest setting.

Step 3
Remove the pasta from the fridge and let it to reach room temperature. Run the pasta through a pasta machine on the widest setting as instructed by the manufacturer. To create your desired form, insert your cutter into the pasta maker and run the pasta through it. Sprinkle a little semolina over the spaghetti.

Step 4
Place the shapes on a dish after repeating the procedure with the remaining dough. Refrigerate overnight or use right away.

Step 5
Peel the prawns and use a sharp knife to cut them lengthwise for the seafood. The black intestine thread around the back should be removed.

Step 6
Slice the salmon into little pieces that are easy to bite into. Using a sharp knife, score the interior surface lengthwise, taking careful not to cut all the way through, after opening the squid pouches. Score again in the other direction. Slice into around 3cm/1¼in square pieces. Keep all the seafood in the refrigerator until you need it.

Step 7
Heat the olive oil in a small skillet, add the onion, and cook it gently without colouring until it becomes soft and transparent to create the sauce. Cook for one to two minutes while stirring after adding the curry powder.

Step 8
Add the wine, bring to the boil, and simmer until roughly two-thirds of the liquid has been reduced. Don’t allow it get too thick; add the cream, return to the boil, and simmer gently for 5 to 7 minutes, or until reduced and thickened to a sauce consistency. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Step 9
Bring a big pan of salted water to a boil before serving. Cook for 1 to 1½ minutes, or until the pasta is al dente. After draining, serve. Meanwhile, heat a big frying pan and pour it with a generous amount of olive oil to cook the fish. Fry the seafood for little more than one minute over high heat, or until it is just done.

Step 10
Remove the skillet from the heat and toss to mix in the sauce. Adjust the seasoning by tasting it. Transfer the spaghetti into individual bowls or a heated serving plate. Drizzle with the seafood sauce, mix gently, then sprinkle with the chopped parsley. Serve right away.
